Born and raised in Gallup, New Mexico, it wasn’t long before writer Christine Rogel developed a passion for the people and culture of the West. Currently based in Bozeman, Montana, Rogel is the editor in chief of Western Art & Architecture and the managing editor of Big Sky Journal. During her career, she’s covered immigration, education, and business in Arizona and New Mexico, and was the editor of a weekly publication for the Las Cruces Sun-News. Rogel earned a master’s degree from the Walter Cronkite School at Arizona State University with an emphasis in writing and digital media. She views journalism as a lifelong education in the world.
